The Bearded Woman

Each time she noticed,
She had meant to pluck
The three black hairs
But the days were short;
Her fingers touched her chin then forgot
Thus fatigue grew curling into wisdom.

My wife has been actively willing herself to grow a beard for a while now.
So far, she's only sprouted some sort of elbow whisker.
She's pretty proud of it, but hasn't really noticed if she's able to feel anything with it.

Currently the mother-of-three has joined a touring curiosity show based in Illinois and feels much happier with her life.

Well, it's...good...that joining a freak show can make you fell more confortable as a person.

"Annie Jones was described as having the manners of a society lady. Exhibited by Barnum at a very young age, she was kidnapped by a Phrenologist."

What more is there to say, really?

Nice post

Androgyny + golden boots? Wilgefortis should be the patron saint of glam rock.
Awesome post. Thanks!

I had some bio-chem classes a few years ago with a bearded woman.
It took all I had to not ask her why she didn't shave or wax or bleach, even.

That brightbytes link is great! Thanks!
