Chevre, Chia Seed, Chifferi ... No Chi Chi's?

Glossary of Food Terms From Abalone to Zweiback, this extensive reference of food terms is found, somewhat surprisingly, on the site of a salsa manufacturer. Who knew advertising could be so useful?

This is good! Now I have somewhere to go to look up those fancy schmancy terms my food-savvy wife uses.

Also, it looks like ChiChi's is owned by Hormel, who has the same pages on their site in a more eye-pleasing black on white type theme. The other benefit of the Hormel site is Spam recipes. Spam spam spam spam. Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!

Surprisingly good. I'm also a big fan of the woefully out of date chowhound.

Err, woefully out of date, bardic?

I realize a lot of the stuff on the main page doesn't get updated all the frequently, but the action is on the message boards, which get plenty of updates every day.

To which I should add, silly me for forgetting it, that Chowhound is exactly where I found the link to the glossary.

A really good find. I've been looking for a quick definition of Indian Borage for ever so long.

Lest we forget, Gernot Katzer. Just thinking about his page makes my nose tingle.
