I've always wanted to visit Cardross College, it looks spectacular. Click through to the image galleries, it's an impressive place, least of all for the patronage of the Cardross Young Fleet. Great article about it here.

It's an amazing place, even more so as it is slowly being consumed by aggressive vegetation. The place is crumbling and rotting though, and what hasn't been burned by the local young teams is falling to await its fait on the bonfires...

Hidden Glasgow gives a more side ways look at architecture and the built environment.

Scottish chavs are called NEDs. An old Strathclyde Police term for Non-Educated Delinquents.

The increasing dominance of the term 'chav' really does my head in - it's exclusively used as a classist insult, and is creeping about the country replacing regional terms, most of which can be used in a semi-positive sense (scallies, neds, bams, spides...).

Er, back on topic: Flickr has many views of St. Peter's Seminary (pseudo-self-link, sorry - some of my photographs will probably show up in that search)

Great post, anyway, Phantast.
