The Australian Rove is THE most annoying, unfunniest tool on television.
A supposed comedian with his own prime time show. All the visiting heavy hitters come on his show to be interviewed. His "interviews" consist of "Hi. You're looking great. So. What have you been up to?" Repeat variations of the above for five minutes and finish by plugging book/movie.
You know the type of TV personality who is soooo annoying… no one you know thinks he's got an ounce of talent… and yet the prick just won't go away. Who enjoys watching this guy??? Gak. I'm chokin' on my own rage here.
(Just out of interest, given the above description, who would be the American / Canadian / British equivalent?) posted by uncanny hengeman at 5:47 PM on July 13, 2005
Oh great. Another Rove thread... posted by Balisong at 5:47 PM on July 13, 2005
Leno and Letterman, plus anyone else with that format. Even Jon Stewart does the same thing for the most part, the interviews are the worst part of The Daily Show. posted by furiousxgeorge at 5:49 PM on July 13, 2005
There are interviews on The Daily Show? I did not know that... posted by Heywood Mogroot at 5:59 PM on July 13, 2005
Letterman is 500 times better and funnier than Rove, I'll give you the tip.
Somebody had to do this post, right? posted by leftcoastbob at 7:13 PM on July 13, 2005
uncanny hengeman, the Canadian equivalent would be Ben Mulroney. I hate this smarmy git for himself, much as I hated his father for being who he is. posted by Kickstart70 at 7:18 PM on July 13, 2005
