I love metafilter as much as the next man / woman / eyeball-on-a-stick-with-a-one-fingered-hand-to-operate-the-mouse-with but maybe its not so good for me?

This is my favourite type of FPP. The ones where the poster has clearly bubbled into cognitive thought for just enough time to sit down at the keyboard, open their browser, navigate to MetaFilter, click the appropriate link...

... and then fall tragically short: sinking back into the darkness of their own little cranial prison, leaving nothing behind them but scrabbled fingermarks on the web and a reason for deletion.

ok blindsam, now that you got the link right, there are still a few things you will be ragged on for here.

here that is considered "Newsfilter", i.e. all you did was post a link to an article. there were no other links following a similar idea, no context.

Even with the corrected link, you didn't really have anything to say

Well that's damn strange. The link blind sam was trying to post was the page I was just at before coming here. Naturally any web page arguing that I should switch off my computer prompted me to immediately jump to MeFi.

But Pretty_Generic... that "possum eats child" photo made this worth it for me. I'd love to browse through the apparently immense collection of freaky pictures you seem to have saved.
