Boss Hogg’s Blog agrees: Jessica Simpson ain’t no Daisy Duke. Cooter tends to agree. Daisy Duke, Rosco, and Boss Hogg soundboards as well. ..Can’t wait for the prank call recordings:) Who needs a new movie anyway?

Nope, Daisy had sass, brains and ass. Jessica's got one of the three and it isn't brains. But then, its a cheesy remake of a cheesy tv show so I'm sure they weren't getting calls from Natalie Portman or Claire Danes or someone with any talent.

And Catherine Bach was just outrageously sexy while still being incredibly cool.

On a side note, while playing the Dukes of Hazzard game on the Playstation, did anyone else find it really funny that they show Boss Hogg counting a stack of money and they're all 1's? Ehh, maybe it was just me.

I'm with Cooter. Boycott! (Didn't the film come out months ago?).

Live preview? ... Damn cool!

Yeah and she can't sing like Nancy Sinatra either. She needs to know her role and stay in her lane. If ain't got the chops don't do it.

It's pretty plain to see that the remake's attitude is pretty far from the original, from the boys to Daisy. Not worth the time in my opinion, really, especially if you enjoyed the series.

I'd stick to reruns if you want any substance.

Um....did you just use the word "substance" when referring to "Dukes of Hazzard"?

It looks like an MTV celeberty vehicle to me.

I don't understand why there's any expectation that a movie remake of a worthless old TV series (that I watched religiously) would share any of the mindset of the original. See "Starsky and Hutch" (or better yet, don't bother) for an example of "How can we put these moneymaking young people into a movie?" thinking.

Is there really another Deuce Bigalow movie!? Was the straight-to-video pipeline full?

Most people don't see movies more than once, so all they have to do to make the money to keep feeding their $5000 cats is to get people to pay to see it once. Sad, but we will always hope for the movies to turn out terrific.

yet Cooter didn't boycott when they replaced the Duke boys with their non-union cousin equivalents, Coy and Vance.

That Roscoe line picker sounds a hell of a lot like our president.
