More Bush stuff you couldn't make up: Jeb Bush, Miami Dolphin.

Well, as publicity stunts go, this is pretty lowkey and kind of funny that they have him pounding brother George.

I wonder what Jeb would say of being "teammates" with that dope smoking rasta quitter guy, Ricky Williams?

*snore*

It's minor publicity for the game, and for the Bush brand. Who cares?

I hate freedom as much as the next guy, but....looking at this, with the "self-Portait with Two Worlds" from the last Shuttle spacewalk image on my desktop in the background: what a country, eh?

I don't mean that in a nationalist way - if you think about it, both those images can be seen in a pretty negative light - but just: what a time and place to be alive. What a crazy pile of wacky, super-sized, impossible-to-explain bullshit I'm so glad to be around to witness.

OP: mosch, you're jaded.

(I don't have a problem with this -- you can create yourself as a player and try to hurt him (in the game, of course! :)

BTW, I wonder if Bucs fans were insulted that Jeb didn't want to play as a Buc (ditto the Texans!) hehe

Not to mention the Jaguars...

The governor got to live out the dream of being a professional football player, as he watched a video especially created for his visit (the video is not in the retail version of Madden NFL 06).
Since i read the site - Go Cowboyz!!!!!!!!!:P

We're going to the Superbowl again, baby!!!

Not being a football fan, I had other thoughts when I read " Jeb Bush, Miami Dolphin."

Sorry, not being American nor a big sports guy, does this have anything to do with the dolphin fucking we have been discussing now for two weeks?
posted by keijo at 12:35 AM on August 11, 2005

Aah, I think Citizen Premier beat me to it in a more subtle way. Although I'm dismayed that the MeFi spell check does not understand "fucking" when even Microsoft Word does. But that goes OT.

But I still quite don't see the point of this post, if it is not about zoophilia again.

Without zoophilia involved somewhere, there rarely is one.

Conspiracy theorists will note with disappointment that Jeb is pictured in uniform number 27, not 44 or 45 as he might prefer.

(Hint for the numerologically impaired: GWB likes number 43, his dad likes 41.... I'm sorry I had to add that, but I'm certain someone would have asked the question [and still might].)
posted by gohlkus at 3:17 AM on August 11, 2005

Why was Jeb wearing #27, anyway? Couldn't he wear the same number as his bro? After all, he's the 43rd governor of Florida...
posted by Vidiot at 4:17 AM on August 11, 2005

The way the NFL standardizes their jersey numbers, a 27 would make him part of either the offensive or defensive backfield, right? Although a 44 or 45 might serve as well. Maybe the 'Phins just had 27 as a vacant number in the roster?
