This Thanksgiving, get the whole family around your monitor to read Patrick Farley's Thanksgiving Special. It entertains as it informs.

For some reason, when I read the turkeys' dialogue, I couldn't get the voice of Gilbert Gottfreid out of my head. The scary part is, I'm not sure I WANT to get the voice of Gilbert Gottfreid out of my head. He's pretty good company. Where do I sign up for an undercooked, partially human, web-footed turkey that talks like Gilbert Gottfreid?

People laugh at stories like this but that's just 'cause it's never happened to them. I can't count the number of people murdered in their sleep by supposedly frozen 20 pounders; and all the police can do is scratch their heads and hope maybe a lead will drop down from heaven. Well, the lead is a lot closer than they think and it's hanging out in the freezer section of half the refrigerators in this country. Don't say you weren't warned. Resistance is futile.

between the comics at e-sheep.com and the lileks.com link above, I've gotten almost no work done today. Two excellent chronovores (I love that word), thanks!
