Parents play WOW, baby dies

Is there such a thing as playing too much World of Warcraft? A couple in their 20s who left their four-month old daughter at home while they played Internet computer games at a nearby PC café have been booked by police after the child died. According to Incheon (Korea) Police Station on Tuesday, a 29-year-old man and his wife left their baby in the bedroom of their home and went to a neighborhood PC café at around 4:00 p.m. on May 24 to play the online game "World of Warcraft. One wonders if either of them ever saw this board, where poster No Game said,"You'll probably notice that the site hasn't been updated heavily since WoW came out. Though the answer may be obvious, a lot of us got hooked on the crack-rock which is World of Warcraft."

That tragedy took place in June, I believe.

Once again ...

The problem is not the game they chose to play, but rather their absolute lack of better judgement and simple consideration for their own child. You could substitute any other distraction for WoW. Television, bingo, watching paint dry or even just sleeping ... no matter what they're doing, it is the fact that they allowed that other activity to matter more than their own child.
