Sushifinder helps you find sushi restaurants in selected US cities. The site has editorial reviews, as well as user reviews and ratings. One helpful feature allows you to type in a street corner (e.g. 3rd and Main) and it will find the sushi joints nearest to that location.

And where's Raleigh? Waraji there has the best sushi I've ever eaten, and I've eaten it all over the world (with the notable exception of Japan).

The Boston neighborhoods include Dorchester but not Cambridge? Useless.

Denver includes Boulder, but not Golden where there is also an excellent Sushi restaurant.

Doesn't have the two sushi places closest to me in its list when I search. Could be good if it were more complete.

I agree with mai. It includes San Francisco, but not the East Bay, and there are a couple sushi places in Berkeley worth mentioning. It does look nice, though.

And St. Louis (sorry, I am in the middle of no where). But what about Tahoe. Outside of NY that is the best I have ever had. Hands down. Also seems a few good places are not on the DC list (used to live there). But nice site and the search is cool.

Uh oh. I think I broke their site. I filled out a review of a terrible place I ate once, and when I hit submit, it turns out that I had just written their Editorial Review of the place. I can't seem to find a way to either make it a Member comment or remove the truly terrible writeup I gave it, either. Oopsie.

I've just looked for two places I have often been to in LA and neither are listed. How hard would it be to go through a phone book and try to get a comprehensive listing? I could find no mention of how a sushi joint gets listed. Do the joints have to pay? Do some of the more exclusive places ask not to be listed? (Yes, LA does have some restaurants with unlisted telephone numbers - but I havn't heard of any Japanese restaurants with this quirk). Without some effort at making this comprehensive the service is rather useless.

Like, this is really necessary? In these parts, there are more sushi places than bakeries. And Starbucks. And gas stations. And, basically, everything else. In fact, I wonder how so many can survive/thrive.

Tsunami Sushi in San Francisco has 27 votes and all the others in SF have just 1 or 2. I wonder if the owner of Tsunami....... Something looks very fishy to me!

because it's taken the throne of "perfect food" away from pizza. DoomGerbil, I don't think there's anything wrong with your review. Hey, if the site wants to give random people editorial control -- why not? (Mathowie does it here....)
