I'm loving the anti-sit archive. How painstakingly comprehensive. As a companion site, I'd like to see photos of the various contraptions used to booby-trap benches so they can't be slept on.

Why is there such organized action against my bottom? Are building owners and architects so cruel and inhumane that they view sitting a crime? Does that mean that simply by parking it in an area of contention that my ass might become a symbol of resistance?

I think it's more to do with keeping riff-raff away no? 'They' don't want to encourage or invite or allow those who don't have seats in their very own homes to down cheeks and loiter.

we're all in danger of being a step behind peacay when it comes to this type of thing. I was more worried that it'd fall through the cracks because of the recent "MeFi's stealing from us!" silliness at Metachat, and then guess I got a little too excited at the Mexican photography. Anyway, thanks for the fix, Jessamyn. If you can, killing tags #1, 2 and 4 is probably a good idea, too.

We sincerely regret the inconvenience. No they don't. If they did, they'd have some sort of temporary solution for sudden spikes in hits to their pages. Oh and double doh! for not realizing we can kill our own tags.
