Seems like an interesting link, but in the future do you think you could give a little description along with your one word posts (which you seem to do a lot)? I like having an idea of what I'm clicking on. The page seems pretty extensive, what are some highlights? Why'd you link it? Violins are cool, and sound nice and all, but I don't know whats so great about this page. posted by atom128 at 2:20 PM on October 1, 2005
If you need to ask, you'll never know :)
Seriously, it's a classical music site, lots of good articles and interviews; either you like classical music or you don't. posted by Pretty_Generic at 2:27 PM on October 1, 2005

I agree. PG how about a thumbnail image on the front page for you next post? posted by srboisvert at 3:48 PM on October 1, 2005
In the future, I think you should break down your description even further. Perhaps list all the pieces that comprise "violins" and "mp3s". I've never heard of either of these, but they sound fascinating, and would, even more so, in component-form. posted by hototogisu at 3:53 PM on October 1, 2005
What makes this a Metafilter-worthy site? Is there something about this page that makes it better than any other site about violins? The idea that "violins are cool, thus, so is this website" might work on a music focused community, which MeFi isn't.
Yes, this is the equivalent of FPPing Google. I really don't know what I was thinking.

So, uh, does this site actually have any mp3s? posted by bshort at 7:27 PM on October 1, 2005
Thanks, P_G.
For those who don't appreciate economy of language (or single links) in an FPP…
…would it have been any better for you if P_G would have appended his post with "Nothing less, nothing more"?
Thanks, mathowie.

Was interested to see that this site is run by Simon Hewitt-Jones - he played Prokoviev's 2nd concerto with an orchestra I used to play with a couple of years ago, and is an excellent player.
Thanks for posting it, P_G, the description was enough to get me to click through. posted by altolinguistic at 9:48 AM on October 2, 2005
