third times a charm. after three different deadlines, two different formats, and a partidge in a pear tree, i'm still not sure if my entry got through. it's true, writers get no respect

NOW I hear about this. Might have been interesting to participate if I'd had a couple weeks to prepare. ...Well there is that first chapter of a novel I never finished writing. It could sorta stand alone as a short story. Or maybe I should pull something out of the moth balls.. Nah. Too little too late.

the writer's bbs accidentally posted my bold type story so my "a day without" story is now officially missing and i have no copy because i did it cold online

I think MeFi should have a rule for posting deadline/submission links. 10:01 PM PST is already the next day here in the east. I propose that anytime someone wants to post a contest with a deadline - the link should be posted at least 7 days before the contest ends.

the point was for people who had been entering, there had been three different deferring dealines, the question being which one mattered?
