Some of the most kinked people I know are librarians.

Speaking as the husband of a bellydancer who has probably gone to far too many bellydance shows, I didn't really see any bellydancers on that page that looked unpresentable. Much better than many I've seen.

And yes, real women have curves.

I've known some librarians. Not stuffy. Fun. Funny. In my experience.

Late fees on "The Koran for dummies": 75 cents.

"Music for Belly Dancers" CD: $1 at a yard sale.

Sitting on thick rugs and eating shish-kebab and couscous while the belly dancing pretty librarians in their colorful silk scarves do that rhythmic thing with their cantilevered hips: Priceless.

Of course not! "The Koran for Dummies" is a real book, recently published. I haven't yet read it or borrowed it from the library, but it's there and late fees would be 25 cents per day. And it's not really a Koran.

I don't know about longsleeves, but along with a old bible and the complete works of Chuck Klosterman I keep a spare copy of the Koran next to my toilet for emergencies of bathroom tissue dearth.

Back on topic: I've often thought of getting an MLS for, among other things, access to all of that lascivious librarian action.

Who was disrepectful to the Koran? I'm all confused.

Those are quite the gazongas on my girl Rowan. Yikes.

And shut it, Rubbstone. Women are not obligated to make sure that you, personally, have a 24-hour chub. Plenty of people do, in fact, find that body type attractive, especially in the belly dancing tradition. And even if not, there is a tiny wee chance that women occasionally do things because they're fun or make them feel good, rather than to be an embodiment of someone else's fantasy.

Speaking as another one who's dating a bellydancer, it tends to develop the stomach muscles in a way that results in a nice curve rather than a six-pack ... most of the librarians on that page can probably do things with their stomach muscles that you can only dream of, rubbstone, and with that attitude, probably will continue to only dream of.

Both Western and Middle-Eastern attitudes towards bellydance tend to be weirdly bipolar. In Egypt, good bellydancers can be internationally famous superstars and everyone wants a bellydancer at their wedding while at the same time it's considered a shameful profession, and in America it must be patiently explained that bellydancers are not strippers, which is never a problem you seem to have if you do, say, ballet.

Anyway, bellydancing rocks! Bellydancers rule!

I've always thought librarians are probably crazygood in the sack.

I married one, which I realize is a small sample size, but, well... yes.

Bellydancing librarians?
I know there's a niche website for everything and everyone, but that's just so ... specialized.

It's not specialized, they don't mention whether they're right or left-handed.

But seriously, the world needs more bellydancing librarians. Just watch literacy improve.

box beat me to the modified librarians, of which I am one, so here's one of my favorite sites: http://www.librarianavengers.org/

I especially like the Klingon fairy tales post.

I worked with a crew videoing a manang's birthday party at a rented hall; the emcee was hinting all over the place that there was going to be a special "surprise." I didn't know what it would be, since they didn't give us the complete program before the shoot.

Wells, after the duet between the emcee and a buffed out transvestite, I didn't really know what to expect. As you might assume, since this story ought to go somewhere, it was a belly dancer, old enough to be somebody's grandmother.
