That's turned out to be exactly what I thought it would be.

Now I'm just waiting for the comment that goes too far.

This is a lot more fun than that mostly naked freefall chick
posted by gurple at 11:32 AM on October 12, 2005

I like to make him stand up. Does anyone find it odd that his neck is detatched? finally, the choice of facial expression is. . .kind of gross.
posted by punkbitch at 11:32 AM on October 12, 2005

Holy crap. The original version was kinda disturbing, but this one was oddly pleasing. Like Katamari or the Keds logo.
posted by VulcanMike at 11:32 AM on October 12, 2005

So much better than the original, since this time I have no guilty feelings of misogyny.
posted by piratebowling at 11:33 AM on October 12, 2005

I wish I enjoyed that less.
posted by OmieWise at 11:34 AM on October 12, 2005

Hmm, it seems like it's broken in Firefox... these soft-looking balls keep gently bringing him to rest. Anyone getting better results with other browsers?
posted by gurple at 11:36 AM on October 12, 2005

Secret to fun:
  1. Open the SWF in another window.
  2. Narrow it down to about 60px width.
  3. Click, drag, and fling downwards diagonally as fast as you can.
  4. Vote Democrat.

I like that I can make it look like he's trying to auto-fellate himself. At least that way he can't be screwing the rest of us.
posted by fenriq at 11:47 AM on October 12, 2005

I was listening to "A Tear For Eddie" by Ween when I clicked on this, and I gotta tell you...this is the perfect visual accompaniment to the song.

I like throwing him waaaaaay up in the air and then just when he's about to smash face-first into a bubble, catching him.

See, I'm compassionate.
posted by plexiwatt at 11:50 AM on October 12, 2005

With a tall thin window you have lots of room to spin him around in circles.

I wish there was lots of lint, jam and metal shavings you could wipe up with him too.
posted by CynicalKnight at 11:52 AM on October 12, 2005

He really looks like he's enjoying it though.

posted by rolypolyman at 11:54 AM on October 12, 2005

sadly no matter how foolish he looks, or what gigantic balls he slams into, he keeps the same stupid look on his face and nothing truly negative happens to him nor his party

... just like real life.

*sigh*
posted by tsarfan at 11:54 AM on October 12, 2005

They should have made the head just a bit smaller. As it is it looks too big.
posted by clevershark at 11:56 AM on October 12, 2005

clevershark, its not actual size but its the actual size that George thinks it is because he's all intellectualated and stuff.
posted by fenriq at 11:59 AM on October 12, 2005

well i feel better, in my browser i seem to be able to get him "stuck" to my mouse and just slam him all over the place, its wonderful.

posted by spigoat at 12:34 PM on October 12, 2005

Completely sick and wrong, but yes... oddly satisfying. I found my greatest enjoyment in grabbing him by the head, shaking him like a rag in a dog's mouth, and then casting him across the vast expanse of the sky. It truly became... poetic.

And so much better than the one with the half-naked Russian mob porn slave.

Now, if only someone could take some soundbites and overlay them on to this so that he says stupid stuff as he's face planting.

Pretty please?

Or maybe someone will make him bouncing into the kitten heads, that was a nice change.
posted by fenriq at 2:07 PM on October 12, 2005

Why go to all the trouble of bouncing this idiot around and making him kiss his own butt. To see that just watch the evening news, he'll do it for ya!

but...

" Wow, now I know what it feels like to be an oil company executive!"

wins!

Okay, I have it working as my screensaver, though it's a bit slow. For linux xscreensaver users:

1) Download the file to some location locally (duh.)

2) Download Macromedia's Standalone player. Make sure you have flash installed already, this is just a standalone player! The executable should be called "gflashplayer".

3) Add this line to your .xscreensaver file:

"Freefall" /home/foo/location/of/gflashplayer -root $HOME/georgerag.swf \n\
posted by phrontist at 8:50 PM on October 12, 2005

If anyone can figure out how to prevent it from filling the whole screen (and slowing down dramatically) I'd be very appreciative.
posted by phrontist at 8:51 PM on October 12, 2005

Cute. But it has too many bubbles, and something keeps stopping his fall. The real Dumbya doesn't need any more help in his perpetual fall.
