Ooh, the Amazing Dare Dozen is great. I got to 230, where there were two moving in sync. That threw me off. posted by Plutor at 10:23 AM on October 14, 2005
I got a little further, to 280. For the two in sync, you shoot near the edge... the upper bucket bounces off the edge and moves back under the egg. posted by Malor at 10:31 AM on October 14, 2005
Bad physics! [In the “Amazing Dare-Dozen.”] The eggs, when tossed up, should be moving horizontally at the same rate as the basket. posted by ijoshua at 11:05 AM on October 14, 2005
Don't be silly. When you're in a moving basket, the mouse-click clearly tosses the egg up and behind you, with the horizontal component of your toss's velocity equal (and opposite) to that of your basket. In fact, the same formula is used for tosses from stationary baskets. (Obviously you didn't read the instructions, did you?). posted by nobody at 11:14 AM on October 14, 2005
