I think this is a case where people either saw the original 1970s show "Zoom!" on PBS (created at WGBH in Boston) or they did not. If you did, and remember it, it's spot-on and brilliant and funny and a nice homage. If you didn't, it is entirely bizzare and out there and hopelessly "inside". And so it is, so it will be.
