Dude, harsh. I guess this is a good argument for in-helmet communication devices.

Seems more like an argument for maintaining a safe following distance.

That poor guy flying through the air in the second picture.... crazy.

Fourth from the bottom it looks like somebody is putting the boot to a fallen rider

Imaging the flurry of obscenities when something like this happens.

I found the most amusing thing to be the guy standing to the right of the road jumping like a loon out of the path of the bikes.

That was just like being in a real bike crash, everything seems to move in slow motion like that! I also thought these links from the crash page were worth a look/laugh: Tattoo Pigs and White Trash Britney

Yes, we should definitely sell all our SUVs and get motoqueiros.

There are two possibilities:
1. Your firewall blocks your browser's header (and you can't see this image)
2. Somebody is leeching my bandwidth

I can see some of them, though.

Is it just me or was the photographer at the right spot and the right time perhaps a little too advantageous?

It's just you.

fixedgear, who you talkin' to?

He's preempting people having problems viewing the images. Leave him alone!

If you look at the one right above it, the guy you think is kicking the other is on his knees facing away from the camera (right beside the upright guy with the silver helmet). The kickee is in the foreground (yellow and black helmet, middle of screen), on the ashphalt sliding towards the other guy.

I think it's more a case of the alleged kicker jumping out of the way of the sliding kickee.

As seen here, with commentary from someone who had a friend injured there (look for comments by ptich), if you want some backstory.

I love watching people get hurt -- as long as there's no gore

The second comment in that thread says it all:

I've had bike shopping on the brain, so before I saw the page I assumed it was bicycles.

I was hoping for bicycles too. There's not much funnier than seeing a bike wreck happen in real time.
