The only drawback is that you can't really whip it against someone's car and have the icky parts freeze on the windshield overnight. What, don't kids do that anymore?

Wow, the first computer that rots. You're obviously not familiar with Windows... The first thing that occurred to me was that guy that dipped corpses in plastic and had a travelling road show with them. Wouldn't that work on a pumpkin as well? Then I thought, "Who cares?"

That pumpkin was done by the Computer department at the University of Arkansas. The school's mediocre newspaper did an article on it yesterday or day before yesterday. I'd post a linke to possible article about it, but the paper's website apparently is either buggy or doesn't fully support Firefox. Doh. For those MeFi Razorbacks, its sitting in the computer store in the Union.

one other hilarious side note is that the innards of that there pumpkin computer are actually a dell demo system under the dell complete care warranty which will later be reassembled and sold to someone in the unsuspecting public who has no idea about their system's secret life on halloween. And yes the cooked turkey idea was the natural next evolution for this baby. Gives a whole new meaning to stuffing a turkey. And lastly, there are MeFi Razorbacks! and here i thought i was the only one.
