I competed two years ago in Carson City in the sideburn division. Sadly I didn't even make the top four. I had planned on competing again this year but I got a job in January that I had to shave them for. Well look here, this years sideburn winners. Notice how it's three of the top four from two years ago, Uwe must be too old to compete, he was like 93 in 2003. That shoulda been me up there representing Team USA, mine were way longer before I shaved them. Oh well. I look better now anyway.

Sorry, meant Alf, not Uwe was too old for this years comp. Uwe was indeed there and took third place. And Jon-o, I don't know why everyone dresses up like that, but since I'm something of a clothesmaker I figured I might was well join in. Ahh regrets! I made an amazing samurai outfit, full kamishimo, for Halloween this year, would have taken first prize for sure with that getup and my giant sideburns.

I was at the Idaho championships in Ketchum (as a non-bearded spectator) last April. There was a pretty amazing dichotomy between people like myself who were there & competing for the heck of it, and people who were like "I love going to the world championships because the networking potential in the moustache community is so amazing!" Moustache community?!
