Very nice. I like the tips o' the hat to "Sledgehammer" they put in there, about time someone did another one like this. posted by fungible at 4:37 PM on November 7, 2005
That was awesome. Thank you! posted by fandango_matt at 4:39 PM on November 7, 2005
That's plainly wicked. Muchas gracias. posted by squirrel at 4:45 PM on November 7, 2005
That was amazing. The fact that I was almost liking the song by the end kinda proves the worth of good music videos. A lot of work there... posted by fire&wings at 5:06 PM on November 7, 2005
Anyone else notice the Tetris game playing out on the kitchen wall? posted by pjern at 5:13 PM on November 7, 2005

Oh, that Sledgehammer! Thanks loquacious. An odd aside, I was a navy brat living in Italy at the time, so yea, I did miss it. posted by snsranch at 6:33 PM on November 7, 2005
Sorry if I got a little snarky. I'm think I'm getting old. NOW GET OFFA MY LAWN. ;) posted by loquacious at 6:50 PM on November 7, 2005

That was fabulous. I have days like that sometimes. I think at least. I wake up clothed. Anyway, that has to be the only explanation. posted by panoptican at 7:01 PM on November 7, 2005
blendor, point well taken. Thank God you didn't point out where it was linked from. That would really hurt! posted by snsranch at 8:00 PM on November 7, 2005
To be fair, "Sledgehammer" was an early product of Aardman Animation (Wallace & Gromit) and the Brothers Quay, and is almost unquestionably one of the topfive music videos ever made. And as I remarked back in the day, one of the amazing things about it is that it's jam-packed with easily 20 or 50 visual concepts that individually might make award-winning videos all by themselves -- and that's by the high standards of the 80s.
But I don't think that means they own stop-motion for all time. This was a neat concept. posted by dhartung at 8:19 PM on November 7, 2005
Here's one of my favorite stop motion shorts, but I'm a little perverted: Roof Sex

somehow that reminded me of "Teeny Little Super Guy" and "PeeWee's Playhouse" posted by piratebowling at 8:36 PM on November 7, 2005
It's good to see Trumpy working again. posted by notmydesk at 8:44 PM on November 7, 2005
Wow, who knew Eminem had a "plan b?" And that it would involve sucking so badly?
Great video, tho...thanks for the link. posted by nevercalm at 9:47 PM on November 7, 2005
Come on, you can't compare sledgehammer to this. Yes, their both stop motion. But one is Peter Gabriel, of Genesis, and the other is Plan B. Their not even in the same league.
I'll admit it's hard to top sledgehammer, but this video is pretty damn good too. posted by puke & cry at 9:59 PM on November 7, 2005 [1 favorite]
Why would I want to stop action photography? I really like action photography. (I'll be here all week.) posted by devetron at 10:03 PM on November 7, 2005
Nice picture. Someone should set this to music. posted by QuietDesperation at 10:50 PM on November 7, 2005
Wow who let out the old man "You kids get offa my lawn!" brigade? You know, rap music's been around a while. You might want to look into it. posted by fungible at 6:27 AM on November 8, 2005
And fungible? Yes, we know rap has been around for 30 years now! Yes, we've heard it in every clothing store for a decade! Hell, I was pushing rap almost twenty years ago -- I thought it was going to be something interesting!
And there were some interesting parts -- but most of it's just like that plastic thing we just heard where someone talks in a rather bored and generic sounding voice with little inflection over an unchanging drum beat. Blah, blah, blah. I've got dozens of CDs like that in my collection -- they get a couple of listens and then I never hear them again. posted by lupus_yonderboy at 7:50 AM on November 8, 2005
That was great - thanks! The tetris made me smile, and I was even grooving on the song at the end. posted by xammerboy at 10:06 AM on November 8, 2005
This was great, once I found the sound control and set it to mute. I don't think "rap" has anything to do with music; it's an acronym for "retards attempting poetry." (Although that's unfair to the genuinely cognitively challenged.) posted by alumshubby at 11:39 AM on November 8, 2005
