The Radiant Vista is a new photography site on the web that offers photoshop tutorials (in Quicktime and PDF) and daily photo critiques (Quicktime). Not much here for non-photographers, but I know a number of members have some interest in taking pictures and might find something good here.

This is very, very good. I'm just beginning to use Photoshop and these 2 image enhancement tutorials I just downloaded are brilliant. I'm saving them for refernce later. Thanks TedW.

TedW, that may be one of the best posts I've encountered in terms of direct impact on my life. Though the tutorials at this point are a little below my existing knowledge, the ability to see actual transformations of other people's photographs and to see where I may have done things differently than this guy is extremely helpful.

The first thing that impacted me when I saw the tutorials was the over/inappropriate use of "impact" as a verb. But it's nice once you get past that.

Wow, this looks amazing. I've only watched one of the daily critiques, but that one makes me want to watch all the rest. The guy has a very good approach to criticism, and the practical application of concepts is nicely educational. Can't wait to go through the rest of the site. Thanks TedW!

I agree, the site has some nice Photoshop tutorials. Some of the aesthetics is a bit arguable though. I thought he made the photo with the surfer look slightly worse.

snoktruix: Some of the Photoshop tutorial methods are arguable as well. Using the color picker and manually tweaking white balance has got to be one of the most inefficient ways of removing color cast, not to mention imprecise. But you know what? Doesn't matter. The execution in this case is not nearly as important as the effort, which is commendable.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I know the site is not perfect, but I got a lot out of it. I found out about it when I took a photo workshop from one of the contributors. He was a really good teacher, and I think their website reflects that.
