Got that snow, man? Hottest holiday shirt is a snowman. But activists alarmed by hidden message of t-shirt. Meanwhile schools expel evil frosty.

Can't this just be fixed by getting some people who are the antithesis of street cred to show up to public events wearing these shirts? I mean how gangsta would they be if carrot top cut a PSA wearing one of these?

The snowman is made of white, grainy stuff like sugar

Sinister indeed.

All the activism and news coverage will be great for sales of the snowman t-shirt. I certainly wouldn't have heard about it otherwise.

Next up on the hitlist: enormous white t-shirts.

Please select a snark for this thread:

1) When snowman t-shirts are outlawed, only snowmen will have t-shirts, or something.

2) I for one welcome our new snowman overlords

3) Metafilter: Jeezy? Fo' Sheezy? Pleezy

4) Mushrooms.

The snowman's promotion of the "get rich or thaw trying" lifestyle does not sit well with McKinzie.

I only sport the long white tee when I have no pants on. Email me for picture. And I noticed pink is coming back for men, too. Who knew?

Don't email me.

Heh, sort of like on "South Park" where the parents eventually defeat the "Chinpokomon" fad by embracing it, making it instantly uncool to their kids...

In any case, this too shall pass. It's just the latest thing, like the "STOP SNITCHING" tshirts people were wearing awhile back.

In other news, Polk County students are still allowed to wear shirtst that say "Slut", "Bitch", "Pornstar" and "Pimp" just none that depict a snowman because snow is about Teh Drugs and Teh Rap Music!

visited nyc mid-september and these t-shirts were everywhere. uh ,well, not so much everywhere as, on most of the young african american men i saw. made me laugh outright, the design is great. also a little surreal to see snowmen on on every street, in 90 degree weather.

hadn't seen the shirt here on the west coast . and though i figured it was probably a cocaine joke, i had to find out. i hit an internet cafe and googled "angry snowman t-shirt" . found jeezy right off. not may favorite music style but he's got a couple good tunes. i gotta say it's really effective viral marketing.

starting to see the t-shirt on west coast, now. the school bans will be probably generate plenty free buzz for jeezy.

Ok, somebody making something like this makes more sense now. Drugs have to be involved.

part of sophisticated marketing campaigns which use coded symbols for drug culture that parents and teachers are not likely to understand.

Uh, duh. Why is it always assumed that parents and teachers were never children themselves? How does this journalistic angle work? Does your brain get zapped and your memory erased the minute you become a parent? I'm continually astounded by the naiveté of those that choose to spawn and then act like the world they grew up in was free of X, Y, and Z. For fooks sake!

How do they know that the snowman doesn't symbolize sugar? At a time when type 2 diabetes is increasingly common among children, this is deeply irresponsible.

OC, Young Jeezy started the fad. He's an ex-coke dealer. When asked about it, he basically said it means cocaine.
