A new book, Signs of Life (which I can't find on Amazon yet), features photographs of spoof signs.

I must have that book. "Disappointing Ruins" was my favourite.

The Dissapointing Ruins was great, but I also love the concept of a stresstwig. Also, any jokes involving banana peels, I am still down with.

My favorite sign ever, which actually isn't a spoof :
Location - Delmar Laundramat on Delmar Boulevard, University City, MO
Duration - Has been there as long as I can remember
Presentation - A plain white sign, on which is writ, "Not responsible for accidents"
Explanation - Whenever an accident has happened anywhere, don't blame the Delmar Laundramat. Stub your toe? Not their fault. Hit the accelerator instead of the brake? Not their fault. Mistake Bacardi 151 for regular Bacardi? Once again, not their fault. A possibility has been eliminated. One less thing to worry about.

"Oxygen comsuption above permitted levels within office space will be deduced from your monthly salary."
Oh wow, that is co clveer and for sure a sign that I would imediately deduce to be a produce of our in-hous sing deportment.

It lacks the subtle sense of authority of these, but I'm a big fan of this sign.
I, too, must have this book.

By the way, related: design your own safety sign (I actually love when it says "Danger: your custom wording")

This book on Amazon? Maybe there's no publishing deal for the book outside of the UK.

Mine too. It's because it's so often true with these things.
