Exercise your music muscleSomeone marked a Day in Green ink. Then I eyed a Queen holding Sex Pistols. There are 71 other bands hidden in this street scene: you can download a higher-res version at Virgin's Web site. (Via Bifurcated Rivets). By the way, this is a contest (you can win a new computer and a year's worth of free music), but the site's interface is obnoxious and ad-strewn, so I moved the contest linkage down here.

The spoon is a band called Spoon.

and the White Stripes. No one ever thinks of those first becasue you tend to focus on the individual bits.

I still have no idea what the trees near the gorilla in the back are.

I stopped trying when I got to 50. I wondered, briefly, if the spoon might represent The Lovin' Spoonful ("Do You Believe in Magic"), but I've spoiled myself by continuing to read this thread.

I'd love to see more stuff like this, though. I remember, eons upon eons ago, coming across a copy of Games Magazine in which there was a likeness of Leonardo's Last Supper containing a bazillion or so product logos in various ways, and the contest was to identify them all. I love that kind of stuff, even if it is viral.

P.S., the trees likely represent Cypress Hill.

My guess was that the gymnasts are Twisted Sister, the chicks making out are Kiss, and the white "orchestra" are The Cult, but I'm not sure about that last one. The two Us are...U2.
