Wales inventor creates teenager repellent device. Barry Gaugh has created a device to keep those pesky kids from hangin' around outside of his (or your) store. It emits a high-pitched squeal that teenagers find unbearable, but older people (with their presumably crotchety hearing) don't notice. Of course, many of us adults can hear these noises, as we discussed here.

Coincidentally, I too am working on a teenager repellent -- it's called "good taste," but it's unfortunately still in the early development stages.
