Aperture is Apple's new $500 pro-photography tool. Apperantly it totaly sucks

This post was deleted for the following reason: double-ish lame applefilter post

This was posted when it first was announced a month or so ago. It was a shit post then, too.

Paris Hilton is poster. Misspelled totally in fpp. And a post that says:
a). Apple came out with something
b). This one guy totaly (sic) hates it!

Nice.

MetaFilter just loves to bash Apple.

Gimme a greak, Rothko. This was posted before and it's basically a press release. I love Apple products and have said so in many Apple MeFi threads, but this post sucks ass. Hilton didn't bother to search for it as the older thread is even tagged the same.

Lame ca-ca.

No, I agree with you dobbs. This post is complete noise. Flagged and bagged.

I saw the earlier post, but that was just the announcement, and now the product has been released and reviewed.
posted by Paris Hilton at 12:45 PM on December 5, 2005

For all intensive purposes, it totally sucks (prolly).

It is actually a pretty interesting review. If you're going to make an apple-related post, though, you need to dot all your I's because otherwise we'll be taking out our knives.

PH did spell "schadenfreude" correctly in the title. That's got to be worth something.

but we can't all be Kevin Bacon's wedding photographer.

"Ok great, now give me Footloose! Ok, now Quicksilver!"

The wealth of cheesy classics that guy has done is astounding.
There is truly nothing more cringeworthy on this planet than an Arstechnica writer trying to be funny.

I'm beginning to suspect she might not be the real Paris Hilton.

A press release plus a single negative review. Wow, yeah totally rush to get this on metafilter. Cuz, you know, it's like the best of the web when Apple makes a bad product. Totally, totally best of the web.

No.

Sucky, suck, suck.

So what's the application Paris Hilton recommends to airbrush away cellulite from your holiday pictures?
posted by funambulist at 1:10 PM on December 5, 2005

Paris, why do you always tilt your head at a 45 degree angle when someone is taking your picture?

In a glamorous, party-girl, existentialist kind of way, maybe.

I think what's more irritating about the post is that the summation of the linked article ("Apperantly* (sic) [Aperture] totally sucks") is unfair both to the depth of the article and the product, especially since the article--while not too positive on the product--is certainly not that dismissive (and at 9 pages, is pretty exhaustive.

* the ironic thing about a misspelling in a post about how much an Apple product sucks is that Safari implements in-line spell checking (red underlines) in browser fields. If the user had been using Safari (and Woody had gone straight to the police), this embarrassing gaffe might never had happened.

Too true. I though the poster was just being funny. I was expecting a review from a 9-year-old.

I have always been irrationally dubious about the reviews from any site that sounds like "arse".

On actually reading the review, I have to ask Mac folk: is it really true that you can't change the menu font type or size in the system preferences? That seems oddly retro in an OS released in 2005? Surely the reviewer is just OSX-naive?

1) This Paris Hilton FPP; it vibrates?

2) I welcome our new Paris Hilton FPP overlords.

That's right, meehawl, all the sizes are fixed. It's one of the few bits of Mac OS X that makes me feel embarrassed.
