The Urban Dictionary has been doing this for ages.

Please enter all such words and phrases as "podcasting" "podjacking" "blog" "on crack" "LOL" etc into this book. Then take the book, burn it, throw the ashes down a well, then burn the well and throw those ashes down a giant well. In space.

I feel for the staffers that will have to comb through this site, now that MeFi has discovered it.

Feel free to do the same for Collins Word Exchange, from my old employer.

At last! All of those people who were too late to ride the Sniglets wave will have a place to go. For example:

nastitude (adjective) : A nasty attitude.

I created this word. Example: She had such a nastitude. —Samantha James

flukenstance (noun) : a positive, coincidental convergence of a fluke and a happenstance
It was a wonderful flukenstance that an old friend, pulling a horsetrailer, drove by when my horse unexpectedly threw a shoe on a rocky road

But some of these have potential. This one

Fruk (verb) : Past tense word for Freak.
After my cat exploded, I fruk out.

strikes me as useful. And this one

biastereoa (noun) : The knowing that you're right, even when no one believes you.
Everyone laughed at her when she expressed her true feelings. But even she laughed; out of biastereoa.

strikes me as useful right here on MetaFilter.

Vanitopicality: When you change the topic on IRC to something regarding yourself
Stalkmark: When you bookmark a page for the purposes of future stalking
Flirtrocious: A miserable and desperate attempt at flirtation
Heterno: A polite way of declining the (flattering) advances of a same-sex admirer

I believe that there is some humor present in misspelling "Merriam" in this post. That is all.

Well, rob511, had you been more dictaddicted, you would have used "pore".

Very astute, w-gp, but it wasn't rob who was doing that using.
