Nice idea for a post, including that little punchline at the end, but I couldn't help notice your "scientist" link goes to an article about semiotics. Tsk, tsk. You really should have something in there about the biology and pathology, too.

I think that this is good post.

Even if you don't mention my aesthetics teacher in college, Ted Cohen. Funny funny MF he was. And he wrote a book, too.

Nearly every one of these articles reads like that episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation where Data tries to figure out humor and ends up talking to Joe Piscopo on the Holodeck.
