Great title for the post! The first version I saw of this concept was The Bar Monkey, which was made by a few engineering students at Harvey Mudd College several years ago. I had a friend there at the time and visited relatively frequently, so I heard about all about it; to avoid selling alcohol without a license, the authorized users were supposed to pay in bottles of alcohol rather than with money.... I thought it was a clever idea and a nice practical engineering project....
