Here we go with four years of the Fraudulent Monkey Puppet President.

Ah well, at least he'll be getting out of Austin. (Hey, I'm trying to look on the bright side).

It'll be fun watching him fail. The economic happy-bubble is going to burst, and we'll all get to blame him. Weeha, these will be Interesting Times.

The very nation itself is experiencing severe chills at the news. Heh.

Hail to the Thief!

All the analysis I'm reading/listening to is saying how disenfranchised voters — who turn out to be mostly minorities — stood the most lose if the recount was struck down. So, while Bush ran on a "compassionate conservative" platform, in the end, he fought against voters rights and pissed off a voting block he wanted to invite to the party.

Gore's concession speech tonight could set the tone for those voters. I don't think we're going to just hear the standard "get behind the winner" line. He may also say something about counting votes, and the fact that just enough of his votes weren't counted.

And don't let us forget there's still Tecumseh's Curse. Not that I personally want to see Bush die in office, but you have to admit the track record of presidents born on a zero year isn't very good, and the environment here in the US is ripe for such an action. Lotsa lunatics out there. A wee bit over half the registered voters who actually voted really didn't want Bush, if you look at the popular vote. Some of them actually take the second ammendment of the constitution a bit too seriously.

Maybe it was a good thing, for Gore at least, that he didn't get the job after all.

An observation-

I think it's funny how everyone (Bush, Gore, Jesse Jackson, etc.) have taken this issue and twisted it so much that we're (America) all so fragmented.

All of the current partisan/racial jargon of counts and recounts and re-recounts, voter discrimination is based on pending allegations and news articles based on slanted words of the parties involved. Regardless of the outcome the other side(s) is now driven so far to the brink of bitterness that their pride would never allow them to let it go.

I predict that we will never get the whole story on what happened because even if the clues were there to begin with the trail is now cold from being bungled by ALL involved.
