Google videois like America's Funniest Home Videos, minus the awful banter of that annoying host. If you haven't been by in awhile, go waste a few hours. There are good, really good things to be found there. Refreshing the most popular page turns up funny and sometimes odd and disturbing footage.

So, four bloggers walk into a VC's office, right. They tell the guy, "We're working on this exciting new project." VC guy says, "Uh, I don't know, isn't that blogging thing a little 1999?" They reply, "Yeah, but this is really special." So the VC guy says, "Alright, you got two minutes."

So one of these blogger kids plugs his iPod into his ZVOX, right, and puts on that Postal Service tune you've heard, eliciting an audible sigh from the VC guy. They line up and start their act: right away, one of the bloggers starts farking another up the slashdot. Meanwhile, a third shits all over his own thread, while the last one syndicates his feed all over the other guys' pageranks. Within the minute, they're all snarking on each other, deeplinking their goatses and shouting "IANAL! IANAL!" while hogging each others' bandwidths.

One of the bloggers (apparently their leader) steps forward, right, and says in this solemn tone: "And now, for the grand finale."

So they form a circle and all start simultaneously self-linking over an image of Jorn Barger. When they've all splogged, the alpha blogger guy stands up and declares: "current mood: triumphant".

So this VC guy just sits there staring, you know, like a deer caught in the headlights of a truck. Minutes pass before he regains composure and stammers: "That's quite a presentation you did there. May I ask what the name of the project is?"

The bloggers grin from ear to ear as they proudly exclaim: "THE ARISTOCRATS."

An examination of the seismograms in Figure (2a) show that there are two similar shaped P-wave arrivals (P1 and P2) at station PAH separated in time by about 3.5 seconds. This is followed by two similar shaped N-waves (N1 and N2) also separated in time by about 3.5 seconds and arriving approximately 70 seconds after the P-waves. The N-wave is created by the shock wave traveling in air (Kanamori et al., 1991). The identification of these phases were based on the phase arrivals which do not exhibit a distance moveout expected for reflected air or seismic waves. The coherency between P- and N-waves also indicates two explosions at the same location.

The (P2) phase in Figure (2a) appears to be an S-wave of the initial explosion but is actually the P-wave arrival from the second explosion which is nearly coincident with the expected S-wave arrival from the initial explosion at both PAH and WCN. The larger P-wave amplitudes for the second explosion suggest that this was the larger of the two explosions, although the S-waves from the initial explosion at both PAH and WCN may contribute some interference.
