Unfortunately, you can't really see his hair in that photo. He was recently on some awards show and his hairdoo was more frightening than the rest of him.

Don't you think it's kind of hard for someone to pull off the "gruff manly beard" look when you wear makeup and have your cheeks tucked?It'd be interesting apply to MJ some of that special software they use to produce up to date computer generated photos of criminals when they only photo they have of the person is too old.

He supposedly got vitiligo [pigmentation disorder] for awhile and it thoroughly bleached his skin. I wouldn't believe that if I hadn't watched it happen over the course of a year to a good friend of mine who ended up being treated--but not before refusing to leave the house for six months due to embarassment. If that's the case with Michael, it's sad to think so many people accuse him of 'wanting to be white', etc.

After reading today about people who desperately want to cut off their limbs I think I have more sympathy for MJ -- basically he just sees his face as wrong. No amount of surgery or money will ever change that psychological fact ... but each new surgery is an action which (at least momentarily) relieves the acute pain of his body-image disorder.

What really gets me about the caption on the photo was the line, "Jackson is among one of the all-male group of artists being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for 2001." That don't look like no dude to me?

He really was a good-looking guy before all of the surgery, too. Or even at the time of Thriller -- he'd already had some surgery then, but he still looked good. I remember girls at my high school going on about how cute he was.

He supposedly got vitiligo [pigmentation disorder] for awhile and it thoroughly bleached his skin I had a friend in elementary school who went through the same thing, and it wasn't a good experience for him, either, but during the interview with Oprah (? I think it was her, around the time his album with Black or White came out) which was when I found out about it, he also said that he used makeup to cover it up, to even out his skin tone. For that I can feel sympathy for him, but for absolutely mangling his face - to be frank I'm surprised he's still actually able to grow facial hair at all - I don't feel sympathy. He did that to himself.
