god, I remember someone doing this to me at a party. I had to keep going from person to person. "It's not my joke, it's pete's..." and then pete: "no, that's lenny's joke." it was only 3 years later that I got it. I don't get this one, though.

True story: I once wanted to set the page length to infinite in SPSS 10. I couldn't remember how, so I perused the Help file, searching for "infinite". There was this entry: Infinite loop See loop, infinite. (< --- that was a hyperlink) small>*clickety* Loop, infinite See infinite loop. Now *that* was humour in software. They left it out in a later release.

Just thought I'd offer an actual joke: This wagon train in the Old West is making camp for the night, even though they can hear some Indian war drums and chanting in the next valley. They circle the wagons and two cowboys are assigned to stand guard as night falls. In the space of a few hours, the tempo of the drums gradually increases as they get louder and louder. I found it to be a clever incorporation of a not-all-that-funny blonde joke with the tool of blogs: the hyperlink. Blonde jokes are rarely funny, but I liked the self-regarding humor of telling the joke by hyperlink.
