That was pretty much perfect. You can see other video game recreations at Mega64, though I don't believe they did this one.

Awesome. But perhaps not the best. But still awesome. I could actually name the fighters in the first few seconds. I don't think I've actually played that game since about 1988 or 1989 or so. It undoubtably resides somewhere in my GFs huge stack of NES games.

There is a far superior video floating around that recreates Grand Theft Auto. It goes on for many minutes, following the main character as he runs into a phone booth, makes a call, jacks a car, flees cops, and gets in a shootout. Wish I could track it down -- it's hilarious.

sewshi, you just made my evening. I'm listening to this "live at drunkenes" set. I'm not sure why the "I WILL KILL YOU" stuff about 1/5 away from the end appeals to me so much, but it does. thank you. And about the video - sometimes I wonder about this stuff. I was a tiny bit young to have played all of these things, and here I see some highschoolers paying homage to a game that came out when even I was barely out of diapers. I think if I were to show this to most of my friends, they wouldn't get it. It's just sort of weird that everyone goes back to the oldschool like they do now. I'm definitely not complaining, though.
