.......right. Well, I guess I didn't really expect any comments.

But, it does confirm my theory of why there is such a rift between US and THEM.

I realize you're disappointed that your thread isn't getting any comments, and I sympathize.

So, what's this theory of yours about the rift? It looks to me like the US delegation heard something it didn't like, but it's maddeningly empty of specifics. So....?

Honestly, not disappointed not to have had a "hot post." ...I just kinda wanted to float it out and see.

However, I am disappointed that the event didn't get much media coverage at all as it seems to have been quite well organized (Bamako, Venez., and Karachi consecutively).

All three areas are at the forefront of international events in one way or another. Bamako is a major transit point on the immigration route from Africa to Europe. Caracas has been making quite a lot of news lately. As for Pakistan, well they are in the middle of a lot right now and their participation speaks a lot for their resiliance.

Despite the fact that a lot of "activists" are being sent from "developed countries." I would imagine that the representatives from each area had many interesting things to say and express.

I was hoping to maybe get a link or two about what was actually said at these events. I keep finding the same several sites. From what I gather, we havn't heard much (if we even heard about it at all).

Leading to my question:
Why would the US even really consider the opinions of 148 other countries when we don't listen in the first place?

In any case, these events are showing just how far we are from the rest of the world.

Oops sorry, we're all busy hobnobbing at Davos this week.
