Slumber party in a snaunted snous.

Kevin Blechdom is a girl. Along with Blevin Blectum, she was once 1/2 of the duo Blectum from Blechdom (R.I.P.). Kevin is now a solo artist (as is Blevin) living in Germany. Her website is chock full of fun and embarrassing things, such as dirty comics, her homemade patches for MAX/MSP (an amazing virtual synth program), the Blectionary (in case you need help deciphering her world), and four songs from the hit Broadway and theatrical musical 'Annie' as performed by a (hopefully) preteen Kevin. Complete table of contents here. (note: some links may be NSFW. Please be careful.)

To hell with that, I just found out Lez Zeppelin are coming to my town. All girls! All Zep!

I saw her in Montreal. There was not a lot of people there and she was opening for Sole. She sat alone, writing in a book, until showtime, jumped up on stage, freaked out for thirty minutes, and then went back to writing.

It was entertaining.

Yes! Also take a look at planningtorock, with whom she performed here in Berlin in early December. Both very fun!

Some of Blechdom's releases can be found on chicks on speed records.

My favorite show of the past five years included Blevin Blectum performing Talon Slalom at the Black Box theater in Oakland. I wish I could get my hands on that video.

Speaking of Max/MSP, anyone know what happened to Netochka Nezvanova?

Oh, and of course you could use pd (by Miller Puckette) instead of Max.

Netochka Nezvanova

i think she, or someone much like her used to be on the csound mailing list, too ... she was far too puzzling to be frightening, but i never interacted with her

Thanks, item. Haven't listened to or heard about Blectum from Blechdom for years but I did enjoy their work. Caught them opening for Le Tigre at Justice League in '01. Talented, but odd little girls, to say the least.

Nope, but she was the subject of my first MeFi post, almost three years ago. Kinda weird to see that name again.

Interesting stuff. The intro splash screen is horrible and people should be warned of such. Otherwise a great post. Thanks.
