mensa-test pt2

Lord, forgive me but here is Part 2 of the phoney Mensa-Test.
6TDARH2EATCTTTWNCB = 6 times DevilsAdvocate rolled his 2 eyes at the claim that this test was not culturally biased
(and that's just of the 12 I got fairly quickly).
On preview, what orthogonality said.

Not culturally biased if you're in the American mainstream.
(Metafilter: there is no cultural bias this time?)

Um orthogonality, that's the fun of it. Some of the questions are really easy, others are completely non-sensical. All are pretty damn stupid.
And I say this as someone who has read about the test.

(i.e., I'm not saying that I have the definitive answers. It's meant to frustrate the fcuk out of you. )

Fun.

8 L on a S
I say '8 limbs on a squid' works just fine.

This one seems a lot easier than the first one (at least from a mainstream American perspective).

Pft. I only got 15/24, then I tried Googling one and accidentally found all the answers. Some of the ones I didn't find were things I knew but would NEVER have thought of (like 6 S W M) and others are things I felt embarrassed not knowing, but then I realized I have never EVER had to memorize "208 to 214 B in a H B" , and even with a M.Sc. in chemistry, I NEVER memorized "115 K C E".
That is not "common knowledge".

Yeah, but, googling some of these things, comes up with some odd stuff. The first two things came up with surveillance satellites, and then there is this one...

I must not have fun. Fun is the time-killer. Fun is for inferiors, servants and the help. I will ignore fun. I will work through it. And when the fun is gone only I will remain--I, and my will to win. Damn, I'm good.posted by Aknaton at 11:16 PM on January 27, 2006

15 the first time through. I'm a little upset that it won't take "1 7 sided head in the world", but that may be the liquor talking.
