The Flowering Nose in Slugland adventure game. As a goblin with a flower for a nose, your ultimate goal is to find the lost sprout. Defeat enemies by throwing flowers at them; power up with hearts; teleport from level to level with such esoteric trinkets as donuts and cherries. (Java.)

I immediately got stuck after dropping the cherry on the X.... I got jammed between the flower and the newly-dropped cherry and couldn't move anymore.

I'll wait for it to be a bit more polished.

Just read the instructions. I'm a Mac user using a single button mouse. It says right button to fire the flowers... Haven't played it yet, but is there a key-combo workaround for this?

Okay, I just tried to play it (sans alternate mouse instructions), and ran into another problem. I click once (left-click, by default), the little flower-nosed bastard moves to where I click. After that... nothing. I click anywhere and it does nothing. Any other people having this problem? Is it OS X? Firefox?

the music drove me crazy and I soon got bored with how easy it was to kill my enemies... it's very hard to die in this game, but pretty easy to get stuck.

Odd, it all works fine for me. Killing the enemies isn't the point, it's mostly a puzzle game where you have to figure out what goes where and what you can trade for the objects you need.

It's pretty easy to get killed once you teleport to a couple of the more difficult levels, especially if you happen to accidentally fall into Hell -- who knew that Hell was occupied by Fire Slugs? I haven't gotten stuck anywhere, either. Hmm.

Sorry, brundlefly, I hadn't anticipated any Mac-related problems.

I've really enjoyed Radicalplay's car-racing game, Need for Madness. Nothing fancy, but I've been playing it for months, resetting the game each time I reach the final race.

Once again, I've wasted most of a weekend. Seriously, once you get out of the Cherry and Rock levels it starts to get a lot more challenging, and...You guys, there's a Llama level. You have to give a gold nugget to a tree, and the tree smelts it into a golden idol of a Llama, and then when you put the Llama on the telepad and go to the Llama level...it's a disco. And there are trees standing around with afros. And the trees, with afros, are pissed off because they want to boogie but the slugs are hogging the dance floor, and there's this one giant Disco Slug with an afro and a big pimp-daddy medallion hanging around his neck. And then when you kill all the slugs and you're done with the Llama level, you take the golden Llama down to Hell and give it to the talking Geyser, who decides that "Hell is going to be different from now on," and Hell freezes over. I am not making any of this up.

The only thing that does bug me somewhat is that I keep accidentally running into signs that I've already read, which pauses the game.

Okay, so that would explain why I keep dying in hell - I'm not supposed to be there yet. Yet again, gator, you're ruining my life with your diabolical flash games.

Sorry! :)

But there are things in Hell that you need (like the Groucho disguise of fake glasses [which allows you to don A SLUG COSTUME a la the Tanooki suit in Super Mario, OMG], and a second pickaxe [which you need to get to the level where the gold nuggets are found so that you can have the tree make the golden Llama]), and you can get them before the freeze-over and manage to survive if you're careful. But once Hell freezes over you can at least move around without getting dinged.
