Gamers love charity

Hellchicks like warm fuzzies, too. Violent bloody video game fantasies are nice, but real bloodied folks need help from places like the red cross. These Quake 4 grrrlss are knitting up nice gifts for a good cause. If you gave to Child's Play then you know that gamers are good peeps.

While the sentiment is most admirable, I find myself extremely disappointed by the items themselves. These women work in the video game industry and call themselves Hellchicks. Couldn't they have knitted something remotely bad-ass, or at least game-related?

I think it's a very noble effort that deserves some exposure. It's impressive that such talented people would direct some of their creative capacities and free time to a charitable cause. More power to them! Although, you could be on to something FoB... I'd love to see knitted gibs or some other outlandish creation.

The design of the webpage doesn't sync up with the domain at all.

Nice. I played a game of Quake against Hellchick back in the day. Got my ass handed to me, I did.

And all I got was this lousy...knitted hat?

You're working under the assumption that anyone who plays video games is defined by their love of video games. It's a funny stereotype but it's become less and less accurate over the years as video games have entered the mainstream as an acceptable pasttime for adults.

chrominance, they don't just play the games, they design them. I expect better.
