Do people even bother to search the archives before posting anymore? This has got to be the fourth time this has been posted.

Well, this is how you remind them.

sounds familiar.

does it still sound like whiney 14 year olds screeching out of tune with clichéd amusical riffs in the background?

I'm already experienceing ironic hipster admiration for the worst band of the new century, much like the slow on the uptake hipsters are professing admiration currently for Nicklebacks spiritual forefathers Loverboy.

The original post's link (mp3) is dead, so I'm glad this was posted.

Nickleback is beyond even ironic hipster admiration.

Although this actually sounds kind of cool, the two songs together are actually musically complex enough to enjoy. Huh.

delmoi - the answer is yes.

Yeah, delmoi, I was pleasantly surprised.

I'd like to hear this combo-track with high-quality audio. However, I am too lazy to do it myself. Someone else do it.

I hear Stallone's making Rocky VI. I wonder what that's going to be about?

I fucken HATE Nickelback. I hate how the local DJs here suck their dicks, I hate how every third song is a Nickelback "tune"...so I loved this.
posted by sharpener at 4:48 PM on January 30, 2006

Actually, much better as a mash-up than either song on its own

I bought a Nickel Creek CD a couple of years back. I took it home and then discovered that the salesbot had put a Nickelback disc in the case. Evil or incompetence? I'm still not sure.

Evil.

Going to have to go with Evil, Chuck.

I knew what to expect, but what really got me were the drum fills--the faux-jazzy little pitter-pat. The drummer is basically saying, dude, I can hit 'em hard and I can hit 'em with style.

Honestly, Canadia should be ashamed of itself.

Nickelback is a pure sonic jazzebration!

Yeesh, I'd never even heard of these people before this. This is exactly the music I hate -- if you were going to try to create music I hated, this'd be it.

Check out the frikkin MANE on the lead singer.

Any man with groomed and pampered long hair is immediately a fraud in my book.
