Also on OhNoRobot is the random comic strip browser that jumps around across its entire archive of webcomics. A great way to find other fun strips.

er.. other fun strips.

(Also, The Adventures of Dr. McNinja is on of the funnest new serials I've seen in a while.)

And nice that it's not ripping off the strips like so many other scumbags^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H comic-related websites.

Oh, that's awesome. I wish readers could just go ahead and add strips themselves (though I understand why they only let the artists do it). I've wasted so much time rummaging through Penny Arcade's archive looking for particularly on point comics that just won't turn up using their abysmal on-site search engine. Would be so helpful to have a full-text search. Thanks for the link, krix!

What longdaysjourney said. This site can only get better.

I'm surprised Get Your War On isn't in their database.

(2nd from the top in that link is an all-time favourite.)

dr mcninja is fucking awesome. holy wow. that's a big pile of peachy keen.

"Please. Don't. Stabmeintheeyeballs."
"What's a good reason why I shouldn't kill you?"
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe because I'm your son?"
"Really? I raised my son to be a ninja. You just look like some doctor who got his ass beaten by an old lady."

I am now addicted.

It's an opt-in service. Only creators who sign up for it are in the database.

I thought the 'let the robot decide' would lead to an interogative search ala that font-finding thing. Whatever it's called

Cool, thanks. Bet that was right there on their front page or something!

I see you are obviosuly the owner of the site, Mr Robot Johnny, sir. Humbled to be talking to you.

It really needs:
Bloom County, Foxtrot, Calvin and Hobbes, The Parking Lot is Full

sadly, these will probably never appear there.

Hmmm, It's all manual transcription.

I was thinking it built the dialogue database automatically via OCR of the speech bubbles. Someone should do that, then the search engine wouldn't need the cooperation of the comic's webmaster and human transcribers, it would be more like google.
