Why I like the Times instead Unlike the Boston Globe, they only wrap their papers with your medical records

This post was deleted for the following reason: one of these links possibly doesn't go where it is supposed to go. also TinyURL is really not good in FPPs

TinyURL? Cmon. Both links point here, for the wary.

isn't the Globe owned by the NYT anyway?
and by the way, since when we use tinyurl?

TinyURL should be used in chat programs, and when you're telling someone a URL vocally, and that's pretty much it.

Did you mean to link to some article about the Times? There's something missing here.

If you don't like TinyUrl, don't click on the link.

Matt or jessamyn, TinyURL cleanup in Aisle 48769, please.

Is punctuation something that will get you arrested now too?

I thought the pre-$5 users were supposed to be clever and super and wonderful, whilst the rest of us are all plebs.

Because when you put TinyUrl's into your post the whole discussion gets derailed and all anyone wants to talk about is your poor posting form instead of discussing the story. What were you thinking with those tiny, tubgirl hiding, bastards anyway?

Besides the tinyurl issue, the post is stupidly written. Who cares how you feel about the Times or the Post? Why not give some hint that (as the lede of the linked story says) "Credit and bank card numbers of as many as 240,000 subscribers of The Boston Globe and Worcester Telegram & Gazette were inadvertently distributed with bundles of T&G newspapers on Sunday, officials of the newspapers said yesterday"?

Personal to GernBlandston: When people call you on your bad posting, best to apologize or keep quiet. Being defensive never goes well.

the link says credit info not medical records

Headline is very poorly written, but all the bitching about tinyurl is equally uninspiring.

I will say this for that URL: It's tiny.

Gernblandston says the Times used medical records, and the Globe used CC information.

Moving along, This is a huge deal here today because my local paper (Worcester Telegram and Gazette) is also NYT owned and did the same thing apparently. The majority of my co-workers pay by CC or check for at least one of the two papers, I still pay cash for mine. What I'm really interested to know is: How on Earth did this happen in more than one physical office at the same time?
