For those that, like me, have read that Jet Set Willy can be done, but never really believed it. Also, Manic Miner, Skool Daze, Sabre Wulf and Atic Atac constitute must-see viewing to the would-be Sinclair completist. Via GameSetWatch.

Yeah, I read that on Wikipedia just now, but then what is the ending supposed to be? Does anyone know? The game code must have been dissected thoroughly by at least one bored computer whiz.

Man, 'Priests' Hole' was a scary screen for a young lad in a darkened room mashing away at an Amstrad CPC6128. That green face! Aieee!

Heh, I was shocked, SHOCKED to see that someone could do so well at Jet Set Willy, then I clued on, duh, the video skip that happens each time things are starting to look grim is a cut as various games are spliced together to make the walkthrough. Awesome stuff though. Now I'm off to wikipedia to find out more about that bug that was mentioned.

The JSW bug was something to do with The Attic. IIRC, once you had visited that room, entering certain other rooms would trigger an death-loop, and the game would end. There were several editions of JSW over the years, though, and I'm pretty sure Matthew Smith fixed the bug for later releases. I remember buying a third-party JSW editor too. Weird. And hgbrian : LoC was ok, but the original Chaos was, bar none, the finest Spectrum game (and one of the finest games of all time imo). I'm from the same town as the Gollop brothers, and am acquainted with them. Whenever I see them (usually once a year or so), they know that I'll be badgering them to make a new version of Chaos with online play. In fact - imagine a version for Nintendo DS with online wi-fi. That would be bliss.
