Attic Escape

Attic Escape is another little "escape the locked room" Flash game along the lines of Crimson Room, Viridian Room, White Chamber, The Doors, and MOTAS. Also by the creator of Attic Escape are Nightmare Escape and, er, Cannibal Escape (which is worth clicking for the lovely, cello-heavy strings music if nothing else). Click everywhere in Attic Escape; important items are hidden behind, above, and under everything.

Crimson Room, Viridian Room, and MOTAS previously seen on MeFi; I could swear we had The Doors too, but I'll be damned if I can find the thread.

"Find the pixel" has to be one of the worst game mechanics ever invented. Fortunately, many of those games become tolerable once you start using the tab key...

Hmmm, apparently you're not allowed to link directly to the individual Fasco-CS games. Odd.

Okay, first of all, FUCK having a game mechanic that requires you to click the edges of the window to move around, and then having live fucking hyperlinks RIGHT NEXT TO THE AREA YOU HAVE TO CLICK.

After inadvertently clicking some jagoff side bar link and having to start over for the second time, I'm done.

...having live fucking hyperlinks RIGHT NEXT TO THE AREA YOU HAVE TO CLICK.

Well, that's how you get out of the attic. Duh. (Personally, I am still trying to decipher the poem, but stenseng's strategy will most likely come in handy.)

DeepFriedTwinkies, I thought I'd give it a valiant stab too, and had some ideas for the poem, but was "warned" (?) that it was too early.

In any case, if you really want fun getting out of an attic, I recommend Curses!

artifarce: I suspect then that you have the solution to the poem, but haven't got everything else ready. I think I'm the opposite and am stuck.

I like these.

No, you guys, the poem doesn't directly relate to the code on the padlock. You need to find all the items first; the poem relates to them.

Solved! (with a spoiler for the order of the triangles)

Okay. I didn't give up, and I did escape the attic, and I want a half an hour of my life back.

Finally got it. That last red triangle took forever for me; tab key definitely helps.

Okay, my note turned from English into German. I'm out.

Out. Woot. Nice one, Gator. You're king/queen/gender neutral royalty of the games.
