The last time a well-known painting was stolen, the theives were caught selling out of their trunk.

Hilarious. Submachine guns, a getaway boat, and all. What did they think they were stealing, diamonds?

Would it be cheap of me to say that I sold my Renoir in a 2 for 1 deal with my 27" Sony?

I don't know what goes through people's heads, stealing stuff that is so easily identified. But, then again, as noted in a Dick Tracy comic years ago, crooks is dumb.
