And you will know my name is The Lord, when I lay my vengeance upon thee...

The Passion of the Christ 2: Judgement Day. (Let's see... There's a short advert at the beginning and one for X-play at the end. It looks like it uses Macromedia Flash 8, and it's probably NSFW. But it is the director's cut!) Oh yeah, Family Guy did a similar gag recently, too. And no, you can not get two minutes of your life back.

I wonder if we will have riots over this?

I prefer not to register.

Is it as good as the Betty Bowers version from a couple years ago?

I didn't have to register anything. It's pretty funny, funnier than the Family Guy spoof.

I wonder if we will have riots over this?

For the record, I just thought it was a bit funny ha-ha and had a few Biblical references that I thought were kinda clever (the Peter one especially.) I didn't think of it in that context until after I posted it, but if any conversation goes that way, that's cool too.

I prefer not to register.

I wasn't even asked when I tried the link they suggested linking to at the bottom of the page, but that's the one the didn't work. (I also may have registered eons ago and forgotten about it. If that's the case, I'm sorry.)

The family guy people didn't seem to be trying very hard. This is good.

I would totally watch this movie.

As these things go, it's really well done.

Action film references/cliches:

Mission Impossible 2
Replacement Killers
Die Hard 1, 3(?)
X-men/Wolverine
Pulp Fiction(?)

I'm sure I missed a lot.

I didn't have to register either, and it was well worth sitting through a brief ad for. If you like humor and vengeful deities, that is.

Is it wrong to want those shades (and the sandals too)?

Someone let me know when Jesus vs. Mohammed - 'No matter who wins, the athiests lose' is coming out.

Hilarious.

Wouldn't work in Firefox, though. Did in IE. Not sure why.

Family Guy's Passion of the Christ 2: Crucify This

I think I'm going to hell now. For laughing.

And the part with about being 12 and being told about being the son of God reminded me of Dogma.

X-Play's > Family Guy's.

I liked the X-Play one a lot more than I thought I would, because it wasn't like a huge capital letters PARODY like yu usually see with things like this. It winked at the viewer, but was straight-faced enough to really make it that much funnier.

Color me surprised!

This one has much better production values (and more subtle humor), but I have a softspot for Jesus Christ, Supercop. The resurrection gag is done much, much better in the first episode.

That was great. Especially the Judas part.

I laughed a lot - I loved the bit when the bearded guy looks up to see Jesus with a sniper rifle. "Look to the heavens...". "JEEEESUS!" *boom*. Great stuff.

Reminiscent of Arnold Schwartzenegger's excellent Hamlet bit ("To be or not to be. Not to be") in the otherwise lamentable Last Action Hero. (My favorite part is the sniper scope.)

The Passion of the Benny Hill is also worth watching, you know, if you're into that sort of thing.

Also, wasn't there a skit on SNL or SCTV that was basically a nod to Rambo 2 with Jesus as the star?

i distinctly remember him pulling himself off the cross, and grabbing an M60, the voiceover said something like "Jesus is back, and this time he's not turning the other cheek"

You may be thinking of "VHF," which had Weird Al doing parodies of both Rambo, and Gandhi II (with the machine gun).
