My formative experience with a pug was a very friendly and very elderly (read as: ancient) girl with an underbite and missing teeth. She was absolutely ugly. She looked like a gargoyle, seriously. When i asked her name, i was told it was Rosebud. When i inquired if they were fans of Citizen Kane or just had perverse sense of irony, they explained that when she was a puppy she had a skinny little body, and a big wrinkled head and that she looked exactly like a rosebud. i've liked pugs ever since. Great find jonson.
