Manitou Springs is just outside of the very right wing Colorado Springs (USAF Academy, Focus on the Family, etc). It seems that all of the liberals and hippies from that part of Colorado have been ghettoized into Manitou Springs.

NationalKato, it appears that racing teams dress up in team uniforms. There are teams of pirates, zombies, and pink ladies. I think he and the redshirt next to him are part of a coffin racing team.
