A $350 boombox?

This post was deleted for the following reason: there could have been a little more background, eh?
The stupid part of this post is that the link to the Mini will not make any sense the moment apple changes the Mini. For example, up until an hour ago, that was the link to the G4 Mini.
That said, I love Apple and want a new Mac Mini.

I like how in the description of the hifi, they say:
No need to find a place to hide an unsightly power brick, as iPod Hi-Fi houses all power components internally.
As if most boomboxes have power bricks?

A powered mono speaker for $350? Yikes. I love my iPod, but apparently not enough.

I want to discuss how utterly and intensely disappointed I am with Steve right now. An Intelified Mac Mini, another iPod boombox, leather (whee) iPod holders, and some new iLife shit. Where's the video iPod/tablet? Man, Microsoft is totally gonna wipe the floor with them with the Origami announcement on Thursday.

The iPod Hi-Fi is too small to use as a main stereo, yet not small enough to have in a secondary room. It's compromised in order to be portable, but doesn't seem to be designed to be taken outdoors. It's too fancy to be cheap, but doesn't actually do a lot. It's just stupid.

I'm just pissed that I bought a mac mini last year, instead of now.

The Mac Mini is pretty, and I like the direction they are going with it now, but it's still too underpowered and overpriced. And no PVR?

Oragami is probably going to be as lame as everything else Microsoft ever announces. Also, i'd wait to see what comes out in April.

Both the last Macworld keynote and this announcement seem strange to me, as if they can't quite get something ready in time.
I'm still not sure a true video iPod is a good idea, but that might be it.
I wish they would come up with a Mini PVR, and they seem to be going in that direction. It just seems that they would have such a thing ready by now and are running into problems.

I think the switch to intel is taking up a lot of their time and they are treading water right now instead of moving forward. I'm sure it's temporary, though.

They will never make a PVR. They want to sell you content through the iTunes Music Store. Why would want you to play content that you don't pay them for?

The Mac Mini is pretty...
The appearance didn't change.
I suppose all this does is prove the market for the dock/stereo combinations is too lucrative for Apple to pass up. Which is pretty horrible - I can't beleive people buy them, in any iteration or price range.
